What's been going on lately...

Well, appart from trying to sell all my clothes, what's been going on lately? It's been busy I'm sure...

I was ill...
I was planning to go on a Primark shopping spree on Sunday to get an outfit for upcoming parties...I felt ill on Saturday night but thought I'd be ok...then, by the time I'd walked into town I decided I better to home to bed...I felt yukky! It only lasted a day thank goodness...I hate being ill!

We did our Christmas shopping...
David and I have such a limited budget at the moment, we did all but Ada's stocking shopiing online as we needed to be careful aboutnwhat we spent, we did manange to get something for everyone though...the presents are arriving in the post all the time, it's quite exciting to get home and see what's on the door mat!

I'm planning for parties....
I have a birthday party on Saturday and a work Christmas do next Wednesday, looking forward to them both and looking forward to getting dressed up. I'm going on my postponed Primark shopping trip tonight with my good friend Lisa, then we're going to get food at Yo Sushi! Can't wait!

I finally made some curtains...
I was feeling really motivated the other night and so I thought I'd put my energy to good use and made some 'net' curtains for our bedroom, finally I can walk around the beedroom now without fear of exposing myself to the world, lol.

We baked a cake...
Last night, Ada and I baked a cake (I've just tried some and it's yummy! really moist! I think I'm getting the hang of sponges now)..when I'd cut a bit for Ada and I to take for lunch it looked a bit like a festive pacman...

Ada had her 3 year check-up...
Ada had her 3 year check-up with the health visitor yesterday and her flu jab. She was very good, although it's a shame she couldn't show them just how brilliant she is! She had to tell them some colours, stand on her tiptoes, tell them her name and draw a picture...it was so cute and I was a very proud mum!

And...I got a new blog picture designed...
As you can see...I am now a little cartoon character thanks to Kim over at What Peggy Said...I love the new me! Thanks Kim x

 Ta ta for now

My sponge trick is to weigh the eggs and then use equal weights for everything else!
